Ideas are great but alone they don’t do anything. They need some way of causing people to think and behave differently. To do this they usually need a team of people working towards a common goal over an extended period of time. This is a venture.
What is a venture?
Ventures can take many forms, going all the way from a voluntary group, to an annual event, to a social enterprise to an public international corporation. What they all have in common is that they are an undertaking larger than a single person, that will work for the long term, to do something new that will change the world in some way. That’s what a venture is.
How do I start a venture?
Through the Open Ventures Challenge website, you can start your own venture and then tell the community about it and invite them to help. You can invite anyone inside or outside of the OVC community to join you and help turn ideas into reality.
First you need to sign up to the Open Ventures community, and then you can create your venture.
